Su-57D: Russia Says It Will Fly Combat AI - MiGFlug

Latest News About New twin-seat Su-57 jet to receive combat artificial intelligence

Russia claims that its two-seat Su-57 jet is set to feature onboard combat AI. Russia labeled this new twin-seat version the Su-57D. Engineers built the jet to compete with Western fifth-generation fighters. Even so, the Russian fleet of Su-57 jets remains modest.

In contrast, a small European country currently operates twice as many fifth-generation fighters as Russia. The gap in aircraft numbers exists despite Russian plans to add combat AI capabilities to the Su-57D. Simple Flying and MiGFlug highlighted the modest fleet numbers in addition to the planned artificial intelligence features.
