BC Wildfire Service crews were dispatched to a fire burning near Highway 97 in Peachland. Firefighters have arrived at the scene. The service stated that crews currently have the blaze contained. Meanwhile, a separate wildfire had developed near Highway 3 east of Princeton. That fire reached seven hectares.
Police officers are now investigating a rollover crash on Highway 97. Dashcam footage caught the incident. The RCMP suspect that alcohol contributed to the vehicle crash. Local news outlet Castanet also shared a Kelowna obituary notice for Debbie Florence Turner.
