Houthi missile strikes on airports near Riyadh have halted all flight operations in and out of the Saudi capital as of 11 October 2026. At least 12 people were killed during the strikes, including an Egyptian woman reported among the dead. A Saudia Airbus was hit in a separate strike days before the airport closures.

UAE airlines have cancelled or rerouted flights serving Saudi Arabia, and five services between Riyadh and Dhaka were taken out of operation. The disruption follows a pattern of Houthi targeting of Gulf aviation infrastructure. Travellers have been left stranded with no confirmed schedule for when operations will resume.
