The PGA Tour said he wagered on championship matches. His betting occurred on several Tour events during the season. The suspension starts immediately and continues for six months. The ban is set for six months.
ESPN and Golf Channel reported the report on Wednesday. Golf Digest and Golfweek published the story later on. The league said his bets covered Tour competitions. He will not compete or collect prize money during the disciplinary period.
