London police came across a small marmoset inside a laundry bag on a bus last week. Staff spotted the helpless animal on July 18. The animal was scared and had no water while quivering. It survived the difficult ordeal. Animal advocates called it an illegal abandonment case. Meanwhile, researchers discovered a previously unknown monkey species in Congo’s Lomami National Park. The discovery emerged during a standard survey in the Congo Basin.
