Macklin Celebrini returned to the lineup and found the back of the net in a close loss to the Edmonton Oilers. The young attacker, who had been sidelined, appeared in the game alongside fellow prospect Will Smith, who also featured in the NHL. Even with the defeat, the Sharks saw a bright spot as Ivar Stenberg netted his first-ever professional goal in a separate game against the Boston Bruins.
