Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell is drawing attention ahead of the Crimson Tide's Week 6 SEC home game against Georgia. Bryce Young and Georgia head coach Kirby Smart both described Russell a "new-age" quarterback, while former Alabama coach Nick Saban said Russell and Young are "very similar."

CBS Sports put the focus on the quarterback matchup between Russell and Georgia's Gunner Stockton ahead of the game. The side-by-side look between the two signal-callers has drawn a lot of talk among fans and analysts. Saban's comments in particular caught people's attention, given his familiarity with both programs.

Smart's use of the "new-age" label matches what Young also said about Russell's playing style. The phrase suggests Russell operates in a way that stands out compared to more traditional quarterbacks. Rece Davis also praised Russell and called the Alabama-Georgia contest a "big" matchup in the SEC schedule, adding to the hype for both teams.
