An hobbyist observer using Google Maps came across a wide circular hollow in northern Quebec. Specialists from Quebec’s geological survey verified it is a colossal meteorite impact crater roughly 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The scar on the landscape closely matches other confirmed craters and signals a major ancient collision. Satellite images were it thoroughly cross-referenced field data to validate the finding.
