Ed Husic, the Australian Industry and Science Minister, criticised Labour’s internal culture after his proposal to allow a debate on recognising Gaza failed to pass.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said described his outburst at a conference as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unfazed by criticism, telling reporters: "put me in a freezer, I don't care at all."
The dispute followed previous efforts to push the party to formally recognise events in Gaza as genocide.
Leaked files and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over strategy and leadership.
