Former AC/DC drummer Chris Slade retired from drumming at age 79. He stopped playing drums. This step comes after 61 years as a touring musician. Slade played on the famous rock track Thunderstruck. He announced to supporters emotionally that it is time to say goodbye.
Rock group ZZ Top went back to the stage following the death of drummer Frank Beard. In a separate incident, a Malaysian rock drummer lost his life on stage during a live set. He collapsed over his drum kit. This happened during a live gig at the Teruntum festival.
