Prime Minister Mark Carney has called snap federal byelections for three Canadian seats. Voters in Brantford-Brant, Ontario; Châteauguay-Lacolle, Quebec; and Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke, British Columbia will go to the polls on August 31. The Conservatives have vowed to demand federal probes on two major concerns: construction oversight of the Gordie Howe bridge and Washington’s proposed tariff measures.
